week 2-4
PRESENTATION DAY
on the presentation day, i have to admit that we discussed about our ideas pretty late. so it didn't turned as great as it would if we had discussed way before the day. as we expected our ideas were turned down by miss norji. we didnt quite understand what we had to do and we didn't not understand what miss norji actually wants from us. what we had proposed before was us actually interacting with the kids to teach them colours and arts and also play with slime and plasticine etc
when the brief ms norji explained a little more detail about the course we finally understand that we had to decorate the space given. make the dull space look bright shiny and colourful and also pleasing to the eyes.
we brainstormed right after the presentation and decided to do a puzzle inspired colour boards. yup it already sounds fun to me!
so what we had in mind was to expose the young children to colours at a young age, it actually has a lot of benefits one of them is to actually train their brain to be more creative as colour opens up new cells of the brain. it also boosts up your energy level.
teaching children colours at a young age also exposes them to be more expressive of themselves and also to calm down the nerves. so having the idea of putting together beautiful primary colours from the colour wheel on to a board for us it was pretty cool
discussing
despite our busy schedule we really took our time to consider about what makes the children of serendah happy. as from what we all know they are very under privileged children. and also providing this types of service makes me thing that i am very lucky to be blessed with a roof on top of my had and also attending a very good university
As we're handling Art, we wish that we came up with was very creative and fun. on the second week, the meet up happened smoothly as the three of us were fully committed and gave out lots of advices and ideas in this meeting.
For third week, we decided to have online meeting. we exchanged pictures of puzzle we might wanna draw out and paint and also exchanging ideas on how to make the board more and more creative and fun .

week 5
planning it out!
While doing this new proposal, our group had a new member. We discuss a lot and also came out with different types of fun learning aids. As we're all design students, we wanted to come out with something that's creative and in the mean time we also wanted the kids to enjoy while learning it. So we managed to come out with three proposals.
at 5pm on Friday, we met Ms Norji and showed her our seocnd proposal, she raised a few concern and also gave a few suggestions to make our boards better before we proceed to the making it.
A big thanks to our lecturer, Ms Jie Nasir, with her guidance we managed to have a clearer idea on how to continue with the task. After the meeting, me and science subject members had a discussion. Because we' were arranged to be in the same wall to place our works. Therefore, our colour scheme have to be the same. Few hours later, we confirmed the colors we will be using, also we exchanged and suggested design ideas for each other.
in a tea, being present and being there for each other is the key to a good communication skills group. as all of us are in the same degree class and also are best friends it was easier for us t point out which is right and which doesn't suit the theme.
week 6-7
DESIGN CONFIRMATION
drawing it out!
within these two weeks, we had a lot of discussions with the team. we've been planning and discussing on how we were able to make a psace looks spacioaus and at the same time colourful and fun with fresh activities and games to play every single day. We want our design to be creative enough to inspire the kids and at the same time gain knowledge while playing. And finally, we got an idea! We designed a color matching learning kit, where there will be different shapes of different colours
Kids will need to stick back the shape according to the color. Second design was a puzzle. There will be different shapes, and kids will need to fit the shapes into the space given. Third one will be build up game. Kids can show their creativity by forming any kind of artworks, such as house, car or animals.

WEEK 8-10
making it
For laser cutting, we spent alot of time drawing the pieces to be cut in Autocad, then exporting it to the laser cut files, assigning colours for the machine to know which to be cut which to be marked. It was very time consuming especially on the laser cutting part as we spent 5-6 hours everytime to draw it out and wait for the laser cut as well as dealing with the system.
Next, we also went to get materials and etc such as wooden boards, spray paint, paint and glue. Sourcing for materials wasnt an easy and fast task too as we need to drive here and there to survey for the materials as well as being turned away as there wasnt the right sizing and specs that we wanted.
Working in the budget was not easy as a result my group was a little overbudget but we didnt mind as it was spent for a good and meaningful reason.
Ms helped us to book laser cutting session in advance and this help us a lot cause we saved alot.bcs usually laser cutting takes up about 90rm per hour we would be broke by the time our laser cuts are done.
So we went on to purchase materials such as plywoods and mdf boards from the art and craft shop before laser cut. We faced a few difficulties and fortunately our others group members were there to help with the laser cutting. As we couldn't manage to finish laser cutting therefore we requested for another laser cut session on the 10th week to complete the whole design. After laser cut, we stay back at campus to finish up the colouring part. We bought few color of spray paints, colourful puzzle will attracts more attention from the kids.

Events
Describe what you offer here. Add a few choice words and a stunning pic to engage your audience and get them to click. The day 15th June was the day we need to visit the site to install the boards. We were on our own transportation, hence we car pooled and i was the driver to send the boards to the site. Fortunately the SUV successfull fitted the A0 boards with the 4 passengers in the car comfortably. We started Journey at 12pm from Taylors University, a little jam on the way near Serendah. Reached at 1:30 pm. Not gonna lie it was quite far and fuel, tol consuming. After all the hassle drilling and installing (we relied on one drill for all the 4 subjects), we finished everything by 7pm and headed back.
although i did not go to the site to personally hang the boards myself and also see the joy on the children's faces. one thing I've learned from this module is to always be grateful with what you have cs there are people out there that are dying but still has a higher positive vibe than us. having said that, i would like to thank ms norji for this opportunity to actually open up our mind to see the world that are craving for the help of the privileged. going thorough the trouble to make something was actually perfect because its all worth it in the end. is to see the children's smile and laughter.
